Collaboration
Simone's sculptures explore archetypal themes such as life, death, love, violence, and ambition, expressing what cannot be articulated through words. She creates striking juxtapositions, like a ceramic red balloon or a glass swing encasing barbed wire, to express the quiet urgency regarding issues of sexual violence, particularly against women and children. Her visceral material with everyday objects provokes striking conversations and sheds light on pressing issues.
